This year for Lent, I gave up chocolate and I'm proud to say that I did not waver even though I was tempted and strained and wanted to pull my hair out. It was less about the actual chocolate and more about proving to myself that I do have willpower and I do have the strength to resist those things that I feel are bad/negative for me.
At this time of rebirth and the beginnings of Spring, I want to use this accomplishment as a reminder to minimize the negatives and focus on the good things in life.
