Flat Corgi Friday - Handsome Harry

Earlier in the week, Mike and I were in Ottawa to complete our first half marathon. We stayed with friends of ours, who as luck would have it, were dog-sitting a corgi!

Everyone, meet Harry. Harry apparently knew I had corgis, probably from sniffing the large amounts of red and white corgi hair on me, because for the 4 days we visited, Harry followed me everywhere. Corgis truly know their people.

Harry is a lovely dog and hopefully we get to meet again.

Flat Corgi Friday - Bird Watching

When we saw this bird wall on the Disney Magic, we couldn't resist posing our resident bird hater in their midst.

This is the closest she will ever get to a bird.

Flat Corgi Friday - Looking for Her Majesty

When we had confirmed we were sailing on a British Isle cruise this year, I knew I had to figure out a way to get a picture of the Flat Corgis in front of Buckingham Palace. Furthermore, I wanted to figure out a way to get a picture of them on royal property!

I wonder if the real royal corgis have ever been out in this yard?

Flat Corgi Friday - Represent

One of our stops on this cruise is Liverpool. Now, this port of call had several Beatles related activities, but seeing as I'm not a Beatles fan, we passed on them.

My eye was on the ability to go visit Conwy Castle... which is in Wales. Of course I couldn't pass that up!

More to come when we return home.

Flat Corgi Friday - Port of Entry

Tonight, we leave for our British Isles cruise on the Disney Magic. Naturally, the Flat Corgis will be with us, while the real corgis remain at home.

This time it's a little different, the corgis are staying in our house and pet sitters are stopping by to spoil them.

Naturally, I'm sad to leave them and worried about the flight, (nervous flier), and worried how they'll behave, so it's the usual par for the course going through my brain at this time.

Flat Corgi Friday - King Candy!

The corgis with King Candy. If you've seen Wreck it Ralph, you know he has to be the winner... that's his personality.

Flat Corgi Friday - Royal Mail

Do you think if I mailed the Flat Corgis they'd arrive at our destination in time?

This year Mike and I are going on a special trip, one that I'm over the moon about... except of course the part where I leave the corgis behind.

More to come later.

- wears that crown so well

- is a little cuddle monster
- is 3 years old today

Flat Corgi Friday - Hello Zazu

As I've mentioned before Merida despises, with every fiber of her being, birds. I think crows are at the top of her list because she can hear them even when the windows are closed and they send her barking and scurrying to the back door. On one occasion, I was watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban when she heard the crows around Hagrid's hut. She was not amused. I was though :).

These days on our walks with the birds steadily waking up for Spring, she charges at them... and consequently forgets she's on a leash.

Alas, Zazu is the only bird that she would tolerate.

Flat Corgi Friday - Panda

I have a soft spot for pandas.

I could watch panda videos all day... like this one:

And this one:

Alas, since I can't go play with pandas, I'll settle for a fluffy corgi.

Golden Mickey

On the Disney Dream, there's a stage show called The Golden Mickeys, which is the cruise line's equivalent of an award's show. We've never seen the show because we're just not interested in it.

However, outside the theater, there are Golden Mickey statues, which is where we've found the Flat Corgis this week.

Flat Corgi Friday - Smallest Sith Ever

Oh yes, she's a daddy's girl alright.

Merida is also a Sith. She is sweet and maintains a cute, lovable facade, but underneath she's sneaky, crafty, and always plotting to steal whatever Gimli has and scurry off with it.

Flat Corgi Friday - Corgi totem

At the Canada pavilion - EPCOT

If a totem pole is meant to describe the culture and heritage of the area, does this cement me as a crazy corgi lady?

The fluff awakens

Since the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens today, the corgis are paying tribute to the Star Wars universe.

You are unwise to lower your defenses!

The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner; now *I* am the master.

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

Flat Corgi Friday - What's a couple more animals?

Flat Corgi Friday is back. We were on vacation in November and I have more Flat Corgi pictures to share. It's difficult to have content when you only brought out the corgis once this year, but such is life.

This past November we spent a few days at Animal Kingdom Lodge before a 4 day Disney Cruise to the Bahamas. I have a full post coming about that whole experience and what I learned from it, but for now, here are some pictures of the Flat Corgis.

These two pictures were taken around the Arusha Rock Firepit in Jambo House.

The view from our balcony. Because we are DVC members, when we stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, we stay in Kidani Village. This allows us to book a savannah view room where we can see the animals roaming around.

What's a corgi without the obligatory cow picture?

No Flat Corgis in these, just a few pictures of the animals

Flat Corgi Friday - Dog team drool

We ran across these bars of soap in the gift shop at Wilderness Lodge. I love the name!
