Little Sleeper

Merida sleeps in strange positions. Upside down or head under the pillow, she can sleep anywhere.

And she snores! That short snout of hers causes some loud snoring.  See for yourself:

Merida and the crows

I've had this video for a while, promptly forgot about it, and then remembered to upload it.

As I've posted before, Merida dislikes birds.

In this video, the crows were scavenging in the farmer's field. Merida was upset because they were scavenging in the field behind her yard.

After this video ends, I sent her out and she barked barked barked at them. They flew away, then returned but over beside the neighbor's yard. She could still see them slightly, and was not impressed.

Sleepy little one

I took this video after our day at Woofstock back in May. Both corgis were knocked out!

You can see her little ears working even after she starts drifting into dreamland.

Gimli likes to move it!

I filmed this one a number of years ago and I've been meaning to put it together for the longest time.

Corgis have the cutest butts and when they walk, they've got the wiggle down pat!

Days of Christmas - Day 3 - Inflatable Mickey Mouse

We have an inflatable Mickey Mouse that we bring out during the Christmas season.  He usually sits outside, but this year, we were late in securing him to the ground. Now the ground is frozen and covered in about a foot of snow.

Mickey's going to have to hang out inside for a few days.

The corgis don't really like him.

Merida isn't sure what to do with it and Gimli views him as an invader to be stopped!


I must say, I like how Merida quickly departs the scene when Gimli starts in on Mickey Mouse.

Yellow Ball

I've had this video for a while and I'm just now getting around to posting it.  I know, but things have been busy here - it's tough to sit and collect your thoughts, much less pictures and video.

Nevertheless, here we are.

A little back story on this video.

I was cleaning under the bed and found this yellow ball that may have been under there since Christmas. Gimli had forgotten about it and when I showed it to him, he became excited and thought it was the best toy ever.  I figured I'd see how smart he really was and put it under the basket and sure enough, he was able to retrieve it.

You'll see at one point he looks directly at me.  That's his sign that he's stuck and he's looking for help, but I let him figure it out.  Corgis are smart little cookies if you give them encouragement and time to figure things out on their own.

Then, I filmed it.

Gimli's recall is slowly and I mean sllloooowwwwwllly getting better.

Here he comes one evening after he decided not to bark at the crazy dogs behind the fence.

A funny thing happened on the way to Alsfeld

When we first met up with our German adventure guide, Nadine we were discussing how Mike and I had always wanted to come to Germany and that we'd almost honeymooned here.  We also brought up that we're big Rammstein fans.  She wasn't that big of a fan, but she knew of them, especially since she came from East Berlin, where all of the band members are from.

We didn't really talk or think about Rammstein until this happened in the bus on our way to Alsfeld.

I can honestly say I never thought I'd be on a tour run by Adventures By Disney in Germany, on the Autobahn and listening to one of my favorite bands ever.  It's one of those things that you don't think will have an impact on you but it does.  The fact that she listened and remembered our conversation and then did this very small gesture is one of my favorite memories from the trip.

Gimli and the vacuum

Gimli and his sheep

As seen in the last Wordless Wednesday, Gimli received a number of Christmas presents in 2010.  One of them was a stuffed animal sheep.  I'm not entirely sure Gimli knows what to make of it, but he does enjoy running around with him throughout the house, upstairs and downstairs and into his lady's chamber.
