45 magical years

This picture was taken about 10 years ago.

Walt Disney World is a tribute to the philosophy and life of Walter Elias Disney... and to the talents, the dedication, and the loyalty of the entire Disney organization that made Walt Disney's dream come true. May Walt Disney World bring Joy and Inspiration and New Knowledge to all who come to this happy place ... a Magic Kingdom where the young at heart of all ages can laugh and play and learn — together.

Happy 45th Birthday Magic Kingdom!

Mike and I were fortunate to visit at its 40th birthday. Maybe we'll visit at the 50th?

Throwback Thursday - the Evil Queen and I

We honeymooned at Disney and one of the highlights of the trip was attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party. We got to trick or treat like little kids again and it was neat seeing the park done up with "scary" decorations.

But for me, this was the best part.

In case you were unaware, the Evil Queen is one of my favorite characters... as you can see from my shirt.

Throw Back Thursday - Look for the bear necessities

I've never done the #ThrowBackThursday, mainly because I didn't have pictures that would be a throwback. I'm hesitant to start this as a trend because I'm going to run out of pictures eventually, so I may just do this monthly.

However, I was rooting through some pictures and found one of me as a child, at Walt Disney World, sharing a moment with Baloo.

Notes:

- This is 1985 in AdventureLand. Yes, those tiki statues are still there. See picture.
- I would love to know about the scaffolding in the background.
- This was probably before I learned the truth about the Disney characters, which will be the subject of a later post.
- If you tell my mother that her picture is now on the Internet, she will kill me.
- This is one of the only times in my life where I'm wearing pink.
- I wonder where the Adventure Drummer guy is now?
